Extruder chamber linings

Extruder chamber linings are usually made from steel plate. They can be supplied with special stripes of spiral or straight shape with wear-resistant hardfacing. In case of highly abrasive materials, we recommend linings with hardfacing overlay both on the stripes themselves as well as in space among them. In the majority of such cases, the stripes are attached to the backside to prevent the abrasion of welds or coming off the stripes. Linings without stripes can be also supplied with wear-resistant overlay covering the whole surface. Linings are made in all common sizes, i.e. diameters and lengths. The shape of lining can be either cylindrical, conical or oval.

AWELD produces extruder pressure chambers up to the diameter of 1000 mm. Chambers of their own design are made as weldments of steel or stainless materials. Thanks to well-managed technology of production, the company is able to perform custommade reconstructions and renovations of extruders according to the customers´ requirements – see chapter Reconstructions and overhauls.
